Terra State takes pride in serving our diverse student body. Each student brings with

Through the Founder’s Scholarship, we want to acknowledge and place value in the development
of a robust learning environment by awarding students not simply on merit, but on
a holistic basis. We want to provide support for students who feel their test scores
may not fully represent their story
Steps to Apply
1. Application
For full consideration, students must have an application for admission submitted
by April 1st.
Students submitting after April 1st will be considered on a case by case basis and
funding availability.
Students must complete a Terra State Foundation Scholarship Application to be considered.

2. Eligibility
All new first-time students planning to enroll at Terra State Community College for
the Fall 2024 term may be considered for the Founder’s Scholarship Program.
Readmit and New Transfer students will have the ability to take advantage of Foundation
Scholarships.
3. Tuition and Fees Coverage
This is a last-dollar scholarship that will be applied toward tuition and fees.
Applicants may qualify for additional scholarships (Athletic, Terra Foundation) but
will not be awarded institutional aid in excess of tuition and fees. Students can
only qualify for one scholarship (Founder’s, President’s or CCP) but will not be awarded
in excess of tuition and fees.
4. Scholarship Renewal
Students have the ability to renew a scholarship for six consecutive terms by maintaining
a cumulative GPA of 2.3 or higher each term.
Summer may be used as an option but is not required when considering consecutive enrollment
terms.
5. FAFSA
The FAFSA must be filed every year in order to receive any of the scholarships noted.
6. Credit Hour Requirement
Students receiving the Founder’s Scholarship must be enrolled in at least 9 credit
hours per semester.
Scholarship amounts will be adjusted for students enrolled less than full time status
(9 – 11 hours) as the awards amounts are set to accommodate full time enrollment status.
