How to Pay for CollegeThe Mechanical Engineering Technology Degree is for a person who aspires to be an
integral part of product design and manufacturing. Beginning with CAD skills and a
fundamental knowledge of Blueprint reading, graduates of this program learn to create
drawings, solid models and assemblies, and utilize those skills to work inside of
CAM software. Each of the aforementioned systems simplify, enhance, and streamline
                           the process of engineering.
Included are traditional engineering courses, such as Statics, Strength of Materials,
and Machine Design. Students in this program will learn to apply the principles of
mathematics and physics to solve real-world design problems.
This degree is designed for students who wish to earn an Associates degree and then
go into the workforce or students who would like to go on to receive a Bachelor’s
degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology. Additional courses, such as Hydraulic
Design, Precalculus, Calculus I, Calculus II, General Physics II, and Chemistry, may
be required to transfer as a Junior into a Bachelor’s program. See an academic advisor
                           for more information.
